The troop meets at the church every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:00.

Our mission is to provide wholesome value-based activities for boys age 11 through 18.  We want them to have fun sharing experiences with friends in the Troop while they learn valuable character developing life lessons.  We strive to develop honest, confident young men who know what it means to be leaders and good citizens.   And, of course, we strive to help each boy discover a respect for nature and love of the outdoors.

Philosophy:  

We believe in empowering boys by letting them lead the Troop.  As the boys develop the program they learn responsibility and experience fulfillment.  It has been said that leadership is a skill that is only learned while you are doing it.   We believe in putting the "outing" in Scouting so we assist the boys as they carry out an active and varied slate of activities.   

Support:  

Troop 401 is blessed to have many parents and volunteers to help with meetings and activities and we always encourage parent and guardian participation.   The Troop Committee also is strong and meets every month to discuss Troop business.
