In a effort to help the needy of our community, First Presbyterian Church also provides a food bank. We try to provide items to make a meal with.  Ours is only a small food bank with the purpose of providing a few meals until other arrangements can be made.

We typically help those needing to fill in the gap before they receive their food stamps or those with immediate transporation issues that prevent them from obtaining food in other manners.

At times it has be supplimented from grants from Translyvania Presbytery's Committee on Missions.
